uplift the underprivileged communities through sustainable
employment in carpet weaving. Registered under the Public

the International Research and Development Institute (IRDI)
Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary, Trustee of Jaipur Rugs
Foundation and Founder of Jaipur Rugs Company Pvt. Ltd. with
an experience of 30 years in the carpet industry, believes
in nurturing the rural weavers and artisans such that they
become self-employed and self-sufficient. The core values of
the foundation are: to impart justice, equality, build trust
in human capacities and ensure a transparent system.
JRF’s objective is to inculcate and spread the art of carpet
weaving to underprivileged and deprived communities. The
foundation also strives to help these rural citizens
establish themselves as entrepreneurs in this industry.
Through its initiatives, thousands of weavers today are
receiving training on carpet weaving, financial assistance
for an independent future and awareness on other subjects
such as health, sanitation, education, available government
policies and women empowerment.
The foundation believes in eliminating the middlemen system
and facilitating the rural artisans such that they do not
have to migrate to a distant place in search of markets.
With its current figure of 40000; this foundation has a
target of reaching to 100000 weavers and artisans in the
